Outside EEES Degree Holders at the University of Salamanca

Students who hold an international degree from a University that does NOT belong to the European System of Higher Education need to apply for the Foreign Degree Evaluation of their Degree at the University of Salamanca (Evaluación del Título Extranjero), unless they already have the official recognition of their degree from the Spanish Ministry of Education (homologación del título en el Ministerio de Educación). The Degree Recognition forms must be submitted separately from the Master’s Application forms. A student may be admitted to the Master’s program, but if the recognition has not been processed and approved, the student may not register for classes. Students should:

  1. Send program applications and documentation to Facultad de Filología.

  2. Apply for FOREIGN DEGREE EVALUATION (This process is necessary for students who have received international degrees outside of the European System of Higher Education)

    Students who hold an international degree that is not granted under the European System of Higher Education need to complete both the program admittance process as well as the degree recognition process in order to be officially admitted into the Master’s.

Application Deadlines

The Foreign Degree Evaluation Application is open during the academic year except for the month of august. Please allow a minimum of two months for processing and approval. It is recommended to begin the application process early in order to meet all other corresponding application deadlines.

Students who hold an international degree from a University that does NOT belong to the European System of Higher Education, need to apply for the Foreign Degree Evaluation of their Degree at the University of Salamanca (Evaluación del Título Extranjero). Students need to complete both the admittance applications as well as the Degree Recognition forms in order to be admitted to the Master’s.
Unless the student has not completed the Degree Recognition process or if they do not already have the official recognition of their degree from the Spanish Ministry of Education, they will not be able to complete registration.

  • The Foreign Degree Evaluation Application Form and all required legalized documentation should be submitted to: Sección de Estudios de Grado y Máster (Patio de Escuelas 1, 37008 Salamanca).
  • Non-legalized copies will not be accepted under any circumstances
  • All documents that require translation must include certified and legalized translations into Spanish
  • Incomplete documents, or documents that do not fulfill the specified legalization requirements will not be accepted and will be returned to sender without processing.
